Catch up

Somewhere along the way, I lost the little bits and pieces of extra time that used to come about to facilitate this kid blog...tonight I've decided to try and wrench them back!
Caleb's class field trip to the fire house, a "short" walk "just around the corner" from the preschool.  The three short blocks with 3 classes of 18 kids plus teachers and some parents was an adventure, indeed.
It's a great service that the FD encourages class trips...so kids can see that there is a fireman behind all that equipment.  Caleb (in green) wasn't so sure...
Daddy had a great idea to get the kids sticker books, so the random sets of 1,000,000 stickers we seem to collect have a home that does not include my fridge, the cabinets, or the car doors/windows anymore!
 Ah, Westover.  Kidlets...good beer...yummy food...spacey wait staff...
 Family time
Z&C looking after the two newest members of the family...Goldie and Blackie, the goldfish
 Loving the skates!
 Pho -- still a favorite
 Super fun park in Arlington
 Cooling off in the shade
 Gimme a C!
Having some unreal, homemade Thai at the neighbors.  Zoe loves a party and loved the lawn swing that they had, but was not a happy camper when she managed to bang her cheek on the horse-shoe toss spike...no idea how she managed that and I'm just happy she missed her eyes!
The Great Zucchini works his magic at a Falls Church fair. It's pure genius how he manages to quiet down so many kids of all different ages.
Shooter muffs.  Shop vac.  Who needs toys?
Kids night at the diner...face painting...
 ...music, and games!
Not a bad way to spend Tuesday evening and the sliders are perfect sized for small hands.
Hanging out with friends at an airport playdate, waiting for daddy to get home from Las Vegas.
I love that my kids wanted to get on a plane and fly away! And yes, those are face-sized donuts.  YUMMY.
