This morning as I scrambled around searching for my Blackberry, the snacky-cups, and a pair of matching earrings, I looked up to catch Caleb goofing off with his Washington Nationals ball cap. He had it on backwards, and was standing in the morning light in the living room surveying his toy domain -- a little boy: no longer a baby. Crazy.
Zoe and Caleb are getting better at counting to ten (probably due to all the "time outs" they get now) and Zoe can just about get from A to Z. Her particular emphasis is on the ...ellameno...Peeeeeeee!! They are clearly tired of my sad lullaby repertoire, "Mommy, no singing jock-a" (for Frere Jacque).
Unfortunately, we spent a few days at home last weekend as Zoe is plagued by hives. We're not sure what is bringing them on, but she is quite the trooper even as you watch them spread on her legs and arms, poor thing. I wonder if she has allergies, and they are due to spring finally arriving...the cherry blossoms will be out in a week or so, and some of the dogwoods are already in bloom on my route from home to the day care.
