Playdate

Caleb's newfound skill is breaststroke. When he gets really excited to get at something, and doesn't have the patience to do his usual scoot/low crawl/rolling routine, he will lie on his tummy, put his face to the ground and flap his arms and kick his legs in an earnest attempt to crawl. Then he'll realize he's not going anywhere and spin around in one place for a while until he gets distracted by something else.

Zoe likes to yelp. She'll yell to get your attention, or squeak or blow loud bubbles and then gets tickled pink when you yelp or squeak or blow bubbles back. She laughs and giggles mischievously, and loves to splash like mad in the bath, water flying everywhere.

We have tried peas from a jar, which smelled horrible and, no surprise, didn't go down very well. I made my own peas babyfood, and we learned the following lesson:
pea puree = projectile puke.
I think we'll stick to orange veggies for now.

We saw good friends Heather and Jason on Sunday for a play date. Here's Jason with Farah and Talon, and Scott with Zoe and Caleb. Caleb is trying to squirm away, as usual and I think Zoe would like to reach out and grab Talon's hair...aren't they cute?? Farah looks like her daddy!
Farah and Caleb checking each other out.
Farah and Talon were born a month before Z & C.
Girls playing peacefully.
"Daddy, why am I on the floor?"
"You can't see me!"
"Mom, quit interrupting!"
Looks like Farah and Zoe might both be lefties

Play time!
Gotcha!
Our friend Scott with Caleb in September (we finally figured out how to get the stills off the video camera...now all we have to do is figure out how to get the movies on here...)
Protective Brother
Caleb likes to squirm over to his sister and pat her on the head.
Zoe likes to grab his fingers or toes and hang on!
