Halloween!

Babies' First Halloween was a bit of insanity. We foolishly forgot about the infamous DC traffic and attempted to make a "quick trip" over the Potomoc to a friend's house in Arlington. 90 minutes later (for what can sometimes take only 20 minutes), we arrived with unhappy babies in hand. But the little dragon and lady bug were a hit in their adorable costumes! We'll plan better next year...and stay closer to home or leave way before dark.

Zoe and Caleb are getting better at sitting up and Caleb in particular is scooting around and almost crawling. Sweet potatoes, carrots, and oatmeal are going down well, and Scott and I are so thankful that both babies usually sleep from around 7 o'clock to 6:30 every night so we actually can make dinner together again. Yippee!

We are all getting excited to go home to Connecticut next weekend, and see cousins Anya and Maya, Tita Sara and Uncle Todd after Thanksgiving.
Caleb was particularly enamored with the taste of his claws
Note sure quite what to make of this whole costume nonsense...
The Dragon and the Lady Bug, age 6 1/2 months
Enjoying a little pre-bed romp on the nursery floor
Caleb likes to scoot over by his sister (and then grab her sleeve or her toys and roll away!)
"Hi Mommy, I can sit up! (and say Mama when I am really sleepy)"
Caleb being a goof, just like Daddy!
