You wouldn't have thought Caleb was so sick...he was playing quietly and enjoying some camera time at the doctor's office. |
Chocolate covered mouth and enjoying the "get well soon" stickers from Gramma Ellen and Grampa Al. Thank you! |
Zoe putting on her "cheeeeeese!" smile, and also having a fabulous time putting stickers on everything! |
Just wanted to give an update on Caleb. He is back to his rambunctious little angel self! We went to the allergy specialist on Monday and, somehow, he has no allergies. So we are hoping that it was just a virus that caused the pneumonia (twice...or, the first round of antibiotics wasn't worth its weight in sugar) but we'll go back in for a repeat chest X-ray soon so that we can make sure everything is 100% clear. The doctor said he sounded totally normal on Monday. My little 35 lb, 40" tall sweetheart is back to normal, and was particularly excited about (1) learning how to run the bases on the baseball diamond near my folks' place in CT this weekend and (2) THRILLED to have been allowed to do the "blast off button" on the rocket (!!!!!!) that his daddy bought that we shot off on Saturday.
We're keeping a close eye on his asthma, and I truly pray that he grows out of it.
Zoe is my little trooper! She fought off the cold, and was very protective of her sick little brother. Her new favorite activity is to climb onto the back of an armchair and leap onto the ground, and call it her "exercise." Then she shimmies up the door trim with only her fingertips and the balls of her feet...she is our little monkey, that's for sure.
I'm excited for the twin club ice cream social on Saturday and a few other end of summer activities this weekend.
