After a fabulous week away at the beach, with Lola and Granpa looking after the kiddos (thank you so much!!) we took the kids on a couple of outings around town. The metro near our house is a straight shot into the Smithsonian stop on the National Mall.

This is the one photo documenting our first foray to the Air and Space Museum. As you can see, the kids would love to be climbing into the moon rover on display, so it took all hands and eyes to keep track of them. We (in hindsight, foolishly) attempting to see the 3D IMAX Hubble Satellite movie. The massive, forming solar systems whizzing over to you and the "teeny lights" (stars) spinning around were too much for the kids, and we lasted about 15 minutes before Caleb was trying to climb INTO my shirt to get away from the "really big moo-moo (movie)" and Zoe was blowing furiously at the "bad black cloud" to blow it away.

Zoe loving the carousel!

C wasn't all that siked about it. You can't really tell, but he has a death grip on the bar. The thing really gets going fast! I kept on reaching over and saying "You're okay, Caleb!" to which he responded, "I am NOT O-K mommy!" After the first few rotations, he got used to the round-and-round and up-and-down movement and liked it.

Wha..?
