Whoever invented the splashpark, sprayground, whatever you want to call it, was a total genius. It is unbelievably nerve-wracking to be at a pool with toddlers who don't know how to swim. They move so fast and I can't imagine trying to strap on floaties when they barely will keep their clothes and shoes on at the same time!

The toddler-friendly water jets cycle in different patterns...Caleb clearly didn't know this one was coming.

They get a little clingy when the big kids come around.

A 99 cent bucket provides a full 20 minutes of entertainment!

Pooped.
The weather has turned into the usual hot summer days and sultry nights that I remember from interning in DC many moons ago. The evenings bring thunderstorms (or "funder-storms" as Caleb calls them). Zoe's earnest and totally irrational fear tonight, staring intently at me and saying "Night 'night funder, mommy!! Night 'night funder!!" reminding me I didn't like thunderstorms as a kid, either.
