Zoe and Caleb spazzing out on the floor, rolling around like little puppies

I love my sister!! I love that the kids are very protective of each other, and love to hang out and play catch, and peek-a-boo, do puzzles and scribble with sidewalk chalk.

Getting to be such a big girl now. At her 2-year check up, Zoe weighed 26 lbs (50 percentile) and is 37" tall (95% percentile).

I got the morning off on Sunday last week and ran a 10 mile road race (very slowly, mind you). The kids were so cute and cuddly when I got home. Caleb likes to blow on my hair to make it move around, which makes him giggle hysterically.

Caleb in particular is enamored with Scott's guitar. Zoe likes to strum a few times, and then sneak the pick into the guitar. I think she likes the cause-and-effect predictability: pick into guitar = daddy freaking out + the guitar getting tipped upside down + the little pick fluttering down to the ground ... rinse, repeat.

Caleb's big laugh!
He was a hefty 30.5 lbs at his check up (60%) and exactly the same height as Zoe (37"). Both kids are in great health, so we must have been doing something right these past two years.

Picnic on the balcony. We are moving away from the sippy cups now, as drinking from a regular cup (and sitting in a mommy or daddy chair) are smooth sailing.

We took Zoe and Caleb to Clyde's for their second birthday. There is a train that runs along the ceiling all around the restaurant, and full sized cars on display. The best part were the indestructible toy planes that the nice maitre d' gave us.

Grapes -- A#1 choice.
We decided that age 2 is the last year we can get away with not having the full on, Disney themed party insanity with dozens of kids, twins, siblings, animals, family, and friends all over the place. Next year we'll rip it up!

Zoe just loves to ham it up for the camera!
Zoe and Caleb want to say thank you to their Aunt Sara and Uncle Carl for the fantastic classical Baby DVDs, Tita Sara and Uncle Todd for the super-fun farm animal kit, chickens for charity from Nali, Little People books from Dante (congrats to the new big brother!!), and college contributions from Uncle Dan and Lola and Grandpa...plus the drum, tool belt, baby bottle (the exact same one I had as a kid, with the milk the disappears when you turn it upside down), and most of all the BUBBLE MAKING "TEAPOT"!!!!
Pia and Scott,
ReplyDeleteYou look so happy and your children are adorable! This is Todd's little sister. I enjoy following your adventures and watching Scott be the grown up.:-) Take care. I have a blog as well of my 2 girls. www.gbrunningmom.blogspot.com
