May 2008

May was a big month for our little explorers. They started at day care down the street, and have successfully gotten every cold going around, but they really seem to enjoy playing with other little kids their own size. At first, Zoe didn't want to be put down, but after a while she was happy to be there as long as she could be right next to and touching her brother at all times. Caleb naturally wanted to explore and bang on everything at once.
DH (dear hubby) passed another birthday, and we celebrated our 6-year wedding anniversary in CT by roping Lola and Grandpa in to babysit so we could go get a couple of drinks and see a movie (the first movie I have seen since being 6 months pregnant when we saw Blood Diamond, and both babies jumped all over the place due to the loud noises).

It's really hard to get the two of them together in a photo as they are all over the place, all the time! We are in "real" shoes from Stride Rite, now.
Pasta with meat sauce is a huge hit, which is absolutely fantastic given that
pasta is the front-running staple in our house.
Zoe showing off her adorable new dress from Aunt Maggie in Albuquerque. She likes pulling on the little bow and delicately investigating the flowers.
Safe in her favorite place, her daddy seat.
"Hi!" (the kids say "hi" now and wave, though usually the wave is kind of upside down and usually occurs right after everyone else has stopped waving)
We are thinking Zoe is a lefty. She really likes her thumb now (taking clearly after mommy who was the same as a baby) and pulls thoughtfully on her ear which gazing at you.
Heading out for Day One at Kinderhaus.
Caleb is very pleased with pasta and meat sauce, too.
