Spring, where art thou?

We are all getting ready for some warm weather around here.  Finally the cold winds seem to have died down and it's in the 50s today.  Caleb slept from 7:45 pm to 9:30 am this morning! He's clearly fighting something off...and Zoe now wakes up every Sunday with the expectation of putting on a fancy dress for mass.  We had parent/teacher conferences and both children are doing really well, thankfully.  Of course, they have the usual sassing that seems to be the norm with any preschooler, but we're working on that innate "impulse control" issue. The kids and I are looking forward to heading home to Connecticut to see Lola and Grandpa next week for a few days, when I have a couple of project-related meetings in Westport and New Haven.  Of course, I've prepped them that we're going, so every morning, noon and night it's "are we going to LolaGrandpa's in 'Nedicut today?"  We've signed the kids up for outdoor soccer starting in March, and have a trip tentatively planned out to see Sara and the fam in California before the spring is over.  The next project is to get a pool membership for the summer...which is like trying to get Packer's season tickets...
Best friends snuggling!

Sleepytime on mom and dad's bed
Pic from upstairs after the last storm.  We have play set in the back but the kids haven't had too many opporunities to use it yet.
Caleb loves his sleep.
Goofing off pretending to climb into the sky to be "spacemen in outer space." The kids cannot wait to fly on a plane!
Caleb's godfather Will was back in town for a long weekend, so we went to the Old Ebbitt for old time's sake (where I met Scott and Will back during the summer of '96).
We sat out in the atrium for brunch.
Star Wars comics are always a hit, though the cartoons are a bit graphic at times.
Kim makes a great storyteller.  Zoe wow'ed everyone with her ability to read the occasional 2 and 3 letter word, and liked especially the cartoon that said "blah blah blah blah" all over it. She's wearing my wrap, showing her Pangilinan-ness by always being chilly!
