Boxing Day

They could play for hours with ice and sticks.  Remind me again why we feel as parents the need to get the newest toys and gadgets?
 Where are we going, mama?
 yeeeeeeaaaahhhhhhh!
 Fun fun!
Kind of getting the hang of it.
Caleb wasn't all that thrilled about being up on the skates himself.  Once the speed-demons aged 7 and 8 started getting on the ice, he decided he was done and started creeping every so slowly to the gate and out! It's good he knows his limits.
Getting on skates again after, no exaggeration, 26 years...I was better off going way slow and spent some quality time on my rear end.  Zoe was thrilled that the bucket made snow after it was pushed around.
This is where Zoe is thinking...what is mommy doing, staggering around with a camera in hand?? Overall, though, I highly recommend skating as a family outing.
Scott took an epic wipe out on the ice...he caught Zoe as she was about to pitch flying off her bucket ride and landed squarely on his knee.  Ouch! I didn't see the impact but did catch the other spectators (who didn't have the sense/gumption to get on the ice with their kids) cringe as he slammed and slid.  So...what better way to recuperate? Knee up and iced, Green Bay Packers on the big screen, his wife handing him a beer, and teaching Zoe to call out, "Mommy, can you get me another milk please?"  She's a little football fan, that one.
