Kite flying

Lazing around while kite-flying.

Here we are getting ready to fly!
Teamwork!
Zoe absolutely loved flying the kite, and she was intuitively really good at it as well.  She'd back up when it would start to dive, and got the hang of swooping from side to side and circles pretty quickly.
What a stunning day! Thank you Hurricane Earl for blowing away the heat and humidity, and not bringing us any rain.
Holding on tight! Zoe was playing co-pilot in his ear.

Our Labor Day weekend has been fabulous so far...lazy and enjoying some spectacular weather.  The wind picked up on Saturday so I dug around and found our kite, a gift from years ago that we'd never opened.  The middle school down the way made a great spot for kite-flying, and Caleb and I explored the soccer and football fields.  It was the first time he'd seen the yard markings on a football field, and enjoyed running from one "big letter O" to the next!
