Cox Farms

Z&C passed 18 months this month, which is hard to believe. Zoe is more than 24 lbs, and Caleb about 28 lbs, and both remain exactly the same height -- 33" (2'9"). We are working on adding new words to their vocabulary, including up/down, out, outside, tree, pup-kin (pumpkin), apple, bubble, see-seee (sweet dreams). Of course, their daddy and I are the only ones who can understand them, but that's okay with me.

We went to this fantastic fall festival at Cox Farms in Centreville, VA, where we discovered that Z&C like to gnosh on whole apples by themselves. Somehow, they manage to eat every speck of flesh off the skin, and then spit the skin out neatly in your hand.

Lola got this jacket, that makes Caleb look like Bibendum (the Michelin man).
The huge slides were a big hit for Zoe!
Caleb was kind of lukewarm about them.
Zozee started to get pretty tired of walking all over the farm, and of mommy who kept trying to get both kids into the pumpkin patch for the quintessential fall photo (without success). Or maybe it had to do with the goat pen, where she tried to climb up my leg when the goats came near? Goats are really pretty evil looking.
Caleb was just tickled that he could pick up the little pumpkins by himself.
Pumpkin out, pumpkin in, pumpkin out, pumpkin in . . .
Taking a wee rest
