Stealing Zoe's Cheerios even while she's sharing!
Pre-caffeinated Mommy.The Diner is our new favorite place over in Adams Morgan. It's kind of intense to think how much things have come full circle...from late nights partying and dancing more than a decade ago to bringing the kid-lets for breakfast before 8:00 a.m. Zoe likes to point at the cat that sits in the window of the tarot card reader/psychic's window and preens herself.
Life is night-and-day easier now that Z&C can eat off of the kids menu, and RSV season has passed so I don't feel obsessively compelled to wipe down every single surface they touch with baby wipes or hand sanitizer. Scrambled eggs are Caleb's favorite, while Zoe is a carb-o-holic and LOVES pancakes just like Mommy and Lola. We have the whole host of "mom gadgets" including tethers for the sippy cups, snack-traps for the Cheerios where they can reach in to get a handful on their own, stick-on place mats and bowls with grippy-bottoms. Z&C have defeated them all, making messes by spilling their water, pulling the lids off the snack traps, yanking up the place mats while they're covered in food, and launching the "grippy" bowls towards the sky with amazing force. Oh, well. At least we always leave a generous tip.....
