April has been hectic so far...and Zoe and Caleb have been keeping us on our toes.
[I don't know why I even write that anymore.
Children = hectic lives = barely contained chaos = the days of sleeping in are loooong over.]
Caleb officially moved into the crazy days of toddlerdom and prefers walking to crawling. It is hysterical watching him zoom around grabbing onto everything and carrying it around with him (mom's work bag, as many sippy cups as he can find, the radio flyer wagon...) Zoe is a dainty little thing who crawls amazingly fast. She likes to stand up very carefully and fling her arms in the air triumphantly...but prefers to have mommy or daddy hold her hands before she'll walk around.
We transitioned from Graco Safeseats to Britax convertible seats, and it really made me reflect on how much they have grown since we brought them home from the hospital with swaddling blankets around them in the infant carriers that were much too big for them. Now we are moving into 100% "people" food, big-boy shoes, and distinctive verbal hoots and coos that mean something ("bababa means" (you guessed it!) BOTTLE). I am SO glad they are bigger and older now, and all the stress and fear of those first days and weeks with newborns are fading memories.

I love these next three photos. Caleb's new thing is that he likes to kiss people, and loves to be close to his sister. Zoe likes to pat his skin and sometimes even leans in for a cuddle.
